Roxanne and the Cookbook

This weekend I took Mother to Abilene. I had been looking on Jo Carol's blog at Roxanne the Artist. I had wanted to buy something from Roxanne, but....... So Jo Carol took me to meet Roxanne. She is absolutely the sweetest, most hospitable lady. Jo Carol took us by her house, "Oh, Roxanne's truck is here. I'll call her and see if she can just come out to the car and we can say hi." Well Roxanne said come in... So we went in and she has the most wonderful house. Roxanne is an artist and I mean AN ARTIST!!! Check out her blog http://www.roxannetheartist.blogspot.com/
She has the neatest house, two dogs, husband, named Coach. He really is a coach, Coach for Abilene Cooper High School. She let us see her house and her decorating ideas. Wow... I told her I pictured her out in the country. Not on the busiest street in Abilene, Sayles.
Thanks Jo Carol for introducing me to Roxanne. Thanks Roxanne for being so wonderful to 2 complete strangers. Also Coach for letting strangers walk through your house!!!
Also Jo Carol introduced me to Pioneer Woman Cookbook. This lady in Oklahoma put out a cookbook. It is just the greatest cookbook I have seen. She takes a picture of every step. The cookbook is not a low-fat, not a no sugar, or low cal. This cookbook is for working men on a working cattle ranch in Okla. I am going to get it this week and make some twice baked potato, brownies, and whatever else I can find. I'll let you know how it turns out!!
