And They Said it Wouldn't Last.....

Bunco 2010

For the last 8 years, I have been playing Bunco. This is a game that requires very little skill. You just roll 3 die and hope one lands on a 6. But this simple game has brought alot of fun and laughter to our small group of friends. Billie Wieser started this group in April 2002. This picture shows 6 of the original 12. Two Bunco gals that we miss terribly are Mabel Wieser and Mary Martha Hailey. They are gone but not forgotten. We lost some because they moved Debbie Keener and Penny Mercer. Some had family comments that they needed to take care of Carolyn Dorton Hester, Carolyn Ferguson, Yvonne Marmon, and recently leaving us Barbara Borden,we miss each of these, too. Our full time players now are Barbara Springer, Carol Stock, Eunice Spurlock, Sue Heugatter, and Judy Shelton.
Each month we usually have a theme ex. garden party, Valentine Day, Mardi Gras, Christmas, Thanksgiving, fall, we even were hobos once???? But whatever the occasion we have a great time. As the above sign says......

Original Buncoers

Billie, Pam Parcus, me, Sharon Skupin, Belinda Slovacek, and Ollie Miller

We welcome our newest member Gayle. She and Billie were friends in nursing school.

Billie putting the finishing touches on dessert.

We love to eat. This is also a time to bring out those dishes we love to use, but don't really have t much of a chance. There has been some absolutely wonderful cooks. The food is always so delicious and the desserts are oh so good!

Did mention we love to eat......

We could not play every month without our subs. Here Suzy Burns Reed and playing her last Bunco, Barbara Borden, are saying hello. Suzy is a sub along with Becky Meacham, Doris Hoelscher, and Sue Posey. Thanks to Billie for organizing and keeping this wonderful group of friends together for 8 years. Last time we played Carol asked me a question that we had started talking about earlier in the evening. I had forgotten what we were talking about and Ollie mentioned in 8 more years we will hardly be able to remember what we are doing after each roll!!! I think she might be right. But until then .... I hope all my rolls are BUNCO's!!!!!
