Dollar Store

No pictures this time, just a few words about Rosebud's new Dollar Store!!! I know most all city slickers are saying,"So What!!!" Well, let me tell you.... If you have ever been without toliet paper, or any personal hygiene items on the weekend then this is big news.... in Rosebud. I have taken to desperate measures when those things have happened and our local grocery store was already closed. Now we have a Dollar Store. It is opened until 8:00 pm most days. Can you believe it. I went yesterday. Yes, it was Sunday. Now growing up in East Texas we did have Eckerds Drug and it was opened on Sunday. But not since college and going home have I been able to go after 7:00 pm to a place and purchase items without it being a convenience store and those convenient prices!!! So you small town folks can feel my pride and am so glad I have a choice on a Sunday afternoon. To drive down the road a few blocks or go to Temple, Cameron, Robinson (oh, I might go there...) or even buy something in Wylie because I know I will need it when I get home. So on Sunday I bought toliet paper, dog food, detergent, chips, sympathy cards (2 for 1.00) popcorn, some snacks for kids at school, mayo, mustard, catsup all the last items for Frankie to take to work. I was so proud that I could do this. Now I will go to our local grocer and will gladly buy all my food items. But just the thought that if I forget something or if we use all those toliet papers rolls I CAN GO TO THE DOLLAR STORE JUST LIKE THE BIGGEST OF CITIES!!!!! Yeah, Rosebud.
