Branson Vacation

We made our summer pilgrimage to Branson, MO, last week. We took some of our dear friends, Pattie and Joe Lightfoot. We had a wonderful time. We saw 7 shows!!! Yes, I know that seems like overkill, but looking back it was really a great time. Here are a few pictures of our trip. The one below is of the Dutton Family. They were on America's Got Talent last year. The entire family plays even the little grandchildren. It was really fun to see them. We also saw another loser from America's Got Talent The 3 Redneck Tenors. I thought they were really fantastic, but I like opera, too. But they did comedy and adding in singing. We also went to see SIX. Frankie and I saw them 3 years ago and were so impressed. There are no instruments. They do all the instrumentation themselves with their mouths and a mircophone!!!! It was unbelievable. We saw Droopy Drawers and the other characters at the Baldknobbers. We also went to Frankie's favorite------ Pierce Arrow. We ended our week with the Presley's. This was another great show. I had a wonderful time and enjoyed being with Pattie and Joe, too.

Here Pattie and Joe are touring Eureka Springs, AK.

One of the highlights of the trip happened on Monday. We went on the Branson Belle Showboat. One of the featured acts is Todd Oliver and his talking dogs. Well after the dogs left the stage the 2 legged dogs took over. Todd Oliver came into the audience and picked two people to help him out. Joe got to debut his talent. Todd told Joe and the other person when he touched him on the back of the neck to open his mouth. When Joe opened his mouth the most awful sound would come out. Todd is a ventriliquist and I have never laughed so hard. Sometime I thought I would not be able to catch my breath. Below Joe and Todd pause to take a quick photo. Joe was a good sport and we certainly enjoyed this show!!!

The showboat has a meal before the entertainment. Here we are waiting for our food. The food was really good and we love their coffee!!! The boat was completely full. About 700 enjoyed the show that night.

This last picture is just the best. I took it in Eureka Springs. Humpty Dumpty really does sit on a wall!!!!

Looks like you had a great time!!Have you recovered from the last two weekends of moving and a garage sale?? It's pretty unbelieveable how much has been accomplished the last few weeks. We are really looking forward to our trip. By the way, check Roxanne's blog concerning the Art Camp in October. It is going to be GREAT!
